Family History

Frank was born in 1897 the son of the late Arthur and Gertrude Longley of Calcutta. He had a brother Phillip Charles Longley. He lived at 27 Ondine Road East Dulwich Surrey. His effects of £625 4 shillings and 10 pence were left to Phillip Charles Longley (Probate 17/1/1918 London).

Military History

He enlisted and served with the 7th (City of London ) Battalion London Regiment and was attached to 17th Bn. King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was killed in action on 19th June 1917 and is buried in Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery Grave Reference: III B 14
