Family History

Frank Henry Clarke married his wife Florence Emma Hewis (born 31st January 1891 Brinsley) in 1915 at Nottingham, they lived at New Westwood Jacksdale Nottinghamshire. Following his death his widow Florence was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week which commenced on 23rd April 1917.

Military History

Private Frank Henry Clarke enlisted at Mansfield whilst residing at Jacksdale, he served with the 2nd Company, 6th battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. He landed in theatre of war in the Balkans on 12th December 1915. Later transferring to the Western Front he died of wounds on 16th October 1916 and is buried at Mont Huon, Military Cemetery, Le Treport, Frank.
