Randle was the son of the Reverend Horation John and Emily Griffin. In 1901 he lived with his widowed mother at 162 Moorgate Retford. He was the husband of Katherine McRae Griffin of 230 Willow Avenue Toronto Canada.

He served in the 19th Battalion, Canadian Infantry Central Ontario Regiment. He is name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial France.
