Thomas was born at Arnold in 1899, the son of William and Annie Cooke (nee Rawson) of 39 James Street, Arnold, he attended the Arnold British School. In the 1911 census he is shown as being 12 yrs of age and a scholar and living with his family at 39 James Street, he had 5 siblings
Military History
Private Thomas Cooke, enlisted at Hucknall and served with the 18th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, he died of wounds on 29th March 1918. He is buried in Doullens Communal Cemetery Extension No. 1.
