Thomas Henry lived at Vine Cottages,Mansfield Road,Daybrook he was born in Nottingham in 1881 he was the son of Harriet Colley and the late William Colley Thomas Henry married his wife Eva Ellen Pearce in 1908 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration district, they went on to have 2 children, William Edward born October 1908 and Eva Ellen born July 1912. In the 1911 Census he is shown living at 4 Salop Street, Redhill, Arnold together with his wife Eva Ellen Colley and their son William Edwin Colley, his occupation is that of brewers labourer he worked at Home Brewery. His widow was awarded a pension of 25 shillings and five pence which commenced on 26th May 1919. His widow Eva later lived at 123 Mansfield Road, Daybrook.
Private Thomas Henry Colley enlisted in 1915 at Nottingham and served with the 23rd battalion Royal Fusiliers. On the day of the armistice he was taken out of the line suffering from influenza from which he subsequently died on 18th November 1918.He left a widow and two children. He is buried at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France
