Family History

George was born in 1886 at Kneeton and was the only child of William Bee a farmer and Caroline Crenor Patttinson who lived in Flintham. In the 1901 census the family are living at Main Street, Kneeton, George is 15 years of age and his father William is foreman on a farm . By the 1911 census the family are living at Flintham, George is by now 25 years of age, single and is a farmers son , assisting on the farm , his father is now a farmer. In the 1911 census we can also find his future wife Beatrice Mary Juckes , who is living in Leicester and is in service , being a house maid for Wm Aldridge Spencer and his family. George marries Beatrice Mary Juckes in Leicester in 1917. His probate proven in London on 25th September 1919 shows him as George Ernest Pattinson of Flintham , died 8th March 1919, his effects of £706 12 shillings and 10 pence went to Beatrice Mary Pattison his wife.

Military History

George enlisted and served with the Army Veterinary Corps, he died at Flintham on 8th March 1919 and is buried in the family grave at St Helens churchyard at Kneeton.
