Michael O'Brien was the son of Michael and Margaret O'Brien of Cork. He was the husband of Edith Norah O'Brien and they lived at 13 Brand Street, Meadow Lane, Nottingham.

Military History

Spr. O'Bren volunteered for service and following training he was drafted to France, arriving on 23/08/1915. His company was in the area of Amiens during August 1918, where the first push back against the German field `army began. Spr. O'Brien was seriously wounded and was taken to a casualty clearing station in the vicinity of Vignacourt. He died there the same day and was buried at Vignacourt British Cemetery. (IV. E.17)
