Family History

George William Pearce married his wife Elizabeth Sellers (born 25th August 1893) in 1913 at Nottingham, his wife brought a daughter to the marriage, Florence Brandon Sellers born 30th December 1911 , they went on to have a child Winifred Pearce born 9th December 1913, they lived at 4 Dowson Street, Blue Bell Hill Road, Nottingham. Following his death his widow Elizabeth was awarded a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week which commenced on 31st March1919.

Military History

Royal Fusiliers, posted to the 2nd Bn, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) (CWGC). He served for nearly four years before being killed in action. He is buried in Bronfay Farm Military Cemetery, Bray-sur-Somme (grave ref II.F.24).
