William Harry (Henry) Bainbridge

William Henry Bainbridge was born in 1891 at Nottingham and was the son of John a carriage trimmer in the lace trade and Clara Bainbridge née Thorpe of 158, Blue Bell Hill Rd., Nottingham. His father John Bainbridge was born in 1868 at Manchester, his mother Clara Jane Thorpe was born in 1869 at Moorgreen Derbyshire, they were married in 1888 their marriage was recorded in the Nottingham Registration district, they went on to have the following children, John b1889, William Henry b1891, Elsie b1893, Amy b1895, Clara Elizabeth b1898, Ernest Cyril b1907, Doris b1909 all were born in Nottingham. In the 1911 census the family are living at 109 Gordon Road, Nottingham and are shown as John Bainbridge 43 yrs a carriage trimmer, he is living with his wife Clara 42 yrs and their children, Jon 22 yrs a telephone fitter, William Henry 20 yrs a brush maker, Elsie 18 yrs an over locker, Amy 16 yrs an ironer, Clara Elizabeth 13 yrs a scholar, Ernest Cyril 4 yrs and Doris 2 yrs of age, they are living with his widowed mother Sarah 75 yrs.
