Albert Bailey married his wife Alice Ann Bower (born 4th June 1888) in 1911 at Nottingham, they lived at 69 Flewitt Street, Nottingham , they went on to have 2 children, Francis Albert born 13th May 1913 and Henry born 19th October 1914. In the 1911 census he was living with his wife at 112 Flewitt Street, Nottingham, they are shown as Albert Bailey 25 yrs a lace maker he is living with his wife Alice Ann 22 yrs a box maker. Following his death his widow was awarded a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week commencing 9th December 1918. His widow re married in in 1919 at Nottingham to Herminius Whithorn.

Private Albert Bailey enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 18th battalion Army Cyclist Corps, he was killed in action on 23rd March 1918 and is buried at Ham British Cemetery
