He was the son of John Tom and Alice Ann Arnold and the brother of Edith, Joe, Alice Mary, Benjamin, Fred and Eliza Arnold. In 1911 they lived at 2 Alexandra Square West Banks Sleaford Lincolnshire. He was the husband of Gertrude (née Millard) Arnold and the father of Jesse C R Arnold. Gertrude married Leonard Barker in 1920 and they lived at 27 Lincoln Street Newark.
