Known as 'Charlie', he was the son of Charles and Matilda Sulley and the brother of Elizabeth and Wilfred Sulley. They lived on West Street, Arnold, Nottingham. John Sulley and Maria Pearson were married in the Basford Registration district in 1919. They had four children - Wilfred, Roy, Beryl and Brian. Maria later lived in Southsea, Hampshire.
