John Henry Richardson was born in 1878 at Nottingham, he was the son of William Richardson.
He married Kathleen Louisa Collard (born 24th March 1876) they were married on 28th March 1905 at St John's Church, Hammersmith, London, they went on to have 2 children, Jack Cyril William born 20th January 1908, a further son Heert Thomas was born on 9th September 1910 he died however in 1911.
In the 1911 census the family are living at Hammersmith Workhouse, London, John Richardson 35 yrs is an ambulance driver he is living with his wife Kathleen 40 yrs an ambulace attendent and their son Jack, 3 yrs old.
Commencing 3rd January 1916 his widow was awarded a pension of 20 shillings and 6 pence a week which increased to 21 shiilings and 3 pence a week from 4th April 1917.
Corporal John Henry Richardson enlisted and served with the 22nd battalion Royal Fusiliers, whilst the battalion was at Clipston Camp, Nottinghamshire he was run over by a motor car, on 2nd July 1915, he is buried at Mansfield,( Nottingham road, Cemetery.
On CWGC site his next of kin is listed as K. L. Richardson of 150 Duncan Road, Acton, London.
