Military history

Enlisted in the Australian 10th Light Horse Regiment. He transferred to the Machine Gun Corps on 25th June 1917. He was accidentally killed at Clipstone Camp whilst attached to a Lewis Gun Section.
Clipstone Camp was a training and transit camp set up just after the war started and was situated at Forest Town just outside Mansfield.
