Lancaster ED596 106 Sqn. Take off RAF Syerston on a mission to Berlin, intercepted and shot down by Bf110G-4 G9+ER night fighter piloted by Lt August Geiger 7/NJG1. On its return leg at 04.29 near Lievelde,Netherlands killing all the crew.
