Cameron was the air bomber aboard Halifax V EB185 which crashed in the UK. No survivors. Fatalities: Cameron + Reginald Tarbat Stoneman (P), Hugh Matheson Tait (N), Harry Poole (FE), Jack Pennington (WO), Kevin Frederick Wightman (AG), Leslie Robert Cox (AG).

This aircraft took off 2325 at Faldingworth, Lincolnshire, for a night training exercise and came down roughly 2 miles north east of the airfield. (WR Chorley Bomber Command Losses Vol. 8 p. 79.)
