Lancaster R5615 61 Sqn take off 23.30 RAF Syerston mission Bremen aircraft was hit by heavy (schwere) Flak and crashed near Tappenort in Delmenhorst, Niedersachsen all crew
killed. All are buried in Becklingen.

He enjoyed several sports including Lacrosse badminton baseball tennis and skiing and his hobby was boat building.
