His Father, Ernest Troughton was born on the 22nd September 1890 in Kendal, Cumbria.
His Mother, Octavia Stephanie Louise Verstadt was born on the 13th June 1899 in the Pas de Calais, France.
According to the 1939 Register she was still living at : 45. Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, she died in December 1962 in Nottingham, aged, 63 years old.

According to his Obituary he was Killed by Enemy Aaction.
Buried at : 11.00 Hrs on Monday, 17th May 1943 in Wilford Hill (Southern) Cemetery,Nottingham.
