Son of Kenneth McDonald and Mary Ellen Bryce of 19 The Grove, Basford. Kenneth was a police constable.

On the Schools's Roll of Honour, Cyril is listed as 'died from the result of war'. The cut off point for an entry on the CWGC site was the death had to occur before 31st December 1947 and as Cyril's death did not occur until 1952 he will not have an entry on the CWGC site.
