Joseph Richard Williams
On the Brunts Roll of Honour there is a J R Williams Flt/Lt RAF Killed in Action. The only Flt/Lt J R Williams on the CWGC site is Joseph Richard Williams, so I've assumed this is the correct J R Williams even though he is from Rotherham. As Brunts was a Grammar School they would take pupils from other areas. Also Joseph Richard married in Mansfield in 1943 so there is a connection to Mansfield. Another candidate could be Flt/Lt John Indoe Williams from Worksop if there was a transcribing error when the Roll of Honour was compiled. John Indoe Williams is included on the Worksop Memorial site.
