Joined RAF straight from school as a boy clerk.
24/3/1939 Returned from Overseas Posting to Far East, Singapore and Malaya, P & O Vessel "Ranchi".
His car crashed into a telegraph pole at Kneesall on the 13th January.
He died in Newark Hospital the following day. Warrant Officer Leonard Kenney his passenger succumbed on the 18th. Another 2 passengers, injured but recovered.
