Son of William Hannah Moxon of Grove Villa, Grove Street, Mansfield Woodhouse.
Frederick married Alice Annie Murden in 1932. They had 3 children, Jocelyn 1934, John 1936, and Frederick Peter in 1940.
Alice married again in 1950 to Frank Brown

Military history

HMS Harvester: On North Atlantic Convoy protection. Left St John's Canada on 6th March 1943. They located U-444 on the surface and rammed it, but U-444 became wedged under the stern and caused major structual damage, it was stuck under the stern for 10 mins.The next day she was torpedoed by U-432 and she broke in two. 9 officers and 136 ratings were lost. The French corvette "Aconit" then rammed and sank U-432 who then picked up Harvester's survivors.
