Old Elizabethan Service Roll: Staff Sgt Douglas Alan Thorpe was accidentally killed on the Electric Railway in England on December 18th 1945. He was awaiting demobilisation.
Staff Sgt Thorpe had specialised in radio-location in R.E.M.E and served successively in Eygpt, Iran. Iraq, Syris, Palestine, North Africa and Italy.
