Military history

Old Elizabethans Service Roll: L.A.C. Eric Watson Hoe was killed in a road accident in Southern France on February 2nd 1946. He joined the RAF in June 1941 and became a wireless operative on the ground staff due to his eye-sight having failed him for air-crew work. He served through the North African Campaign and later wrote a complete account of his experiences.
Further service was in Malta, Sicily, Italy, Eygpt, Palestine, Syria, Corsica and Southern France.
