Military history

In December 1945, with World War II over, the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC) shifted away from active combat supply and focused entirely on the massive administrative tasks of global demobilisation, disarmament, and repatriation.

As an RASC Driver in occupied Germany in December 1945, Troop would have been part of the massive logistics and transport operations supporting the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR). The RASC at this stage was tasked with transporting vital food supplies, moving thousands of troops slated for demobilisation, and managing transport infrastructure across heavily damaged German cities like Berlin.

The circumstances of Troop's death are at present unknown.
