A large company of sympathisers from St Peter's and St John's parishes were present at the parish church on Monday at the funeral of Pte Frank Peet, the younger son of Mr & Mrs J Peet of 4 Browning St, Mansfield who died in a hospital in Scotland on Wednesday of last week. He had only been in the army 7 weeks. Rev R.H. Brunt spoke of Pte Peet's high character and dependability as a true son of the Church and his devotion to its service. He was one of those fine young men whom they looked for leadership in church life in the days following the war.
