Family history
George and Alice Pritchett, of Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire had eight sons serving in HM Forces. Besides Sydney, they were Arthur, Harry, Sam, Leslie, Dennis, Cyril and Frank. It seems that all 7 of Sydney's brothers survived the war.

HMLCA913 and HMLCA 914 (landing craft) were lost during the āDā Day Normandy Landings.
