Arthur had served with the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers in WW1 but had survived as he had been discharged from the forces on 25th March 1920.
Siblings: Harry (1908), Elsie (1912), and Leonard (1915)

Military history

1 l of C sigs = Line of Communication Signals.
Bone was occupied on 12th November 1942 and became an important supply port and site for an airfield. The 70th General Hospital was also based there.
