Richard Robert Pearce

Richard Robert Pearce was born in 1875 at Nottingham and was the son of the late William and Charlotte Pearce née Henson, they were married in 1870 at Nottingham and his father died in 1880 . His mother re married in 1885 to William Porter, the marriage was recorded in the Newark Registration district.

In the 1911 census his mother Charlotte Porter is living at 18 Thyra Grove , Beeston with her husband William and her family.

Richard married his wife Maria Beatrice Dykes (born 31st May 1884) on 15th February 1908 ,
at Nottingham Registry office, they had the following children, Sarah Gertrude born born 5th February 1909, Charlotte born 11th November 1910 and Ralph William born 24th February 1914

In the 1911 census the family lived at 41, Ilkeston Road Nottingham and are shown as Richard Robert 35 yrs a plumber he is living with his wife Maria Beatrice 28 yrs and their children Sarah Gertrude 2 yrs and Charlotte 4 months old.

His wife Maria later moved to 54, Redoubt Street, Radford, Nottingham).

Following his death his widow was awarded a pension of 20 shillings and 6 pence a week which commenced on 22nd November 1915.
