William Harry Webster was born in 1892 at Houston, Renfrewshire, he was the son of William a huntsman and Mary Webster, Of Houston, Renfrewshire;

His father William was born in 1868 at Kingston upon Thames, his mother Mary was born in 1870 at Little Bytham, Lincolnshire, they were married in 1889 and had 3 children,

In the 1911 census the family are living at The Kennels, Billericay, William 43 yrs is a huntsman he is living with hois woife Mary 41 yrs and their children, Gladys 20 yrs, Harry 18 yrs a kennel huntsman and Arthur 16 yrs of age.

He was the husband of Rosa Emma Fox they were married in 1916 their marriage was recorded in the East Retford registration district. Of Babworth, Retford, Notts.

Sergeant William Harry Webster enlisted at Woolwich, he served with the Army Veterniary Corp and was attdached to 23rd Bty 24th Bde Royal Field Artillery, he died on 5th November 1918 and is buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille
