Privtae Arthur Stevens enlisted at Worksop whilst residing at Mansfield, and served with the 2/5th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he was captured during the fighting at Bullecourt on 23rd March 1918, he ded as a prisoner of war at the Camp Hospital at Dulmen, Western Germany, his cause of death was encephalitis and heart failure, he was 40 yrs of age, he is buried at Cologne Southern Cemetery, Germany
