Percy Sebright was born in 1880 at Peterborough, he was the son of Jeremiah a malster and Eliza Sebright née Dexter of Newark,

His father Jeremiah was born in 1853 at Whittlebury Forest, Leicestershire, his mother Eliza Dexter was born in 1851 at Uppingham, Rutland, they were married in 1880 at Carhampton, Somerset, they went on to have 5 children.

In the 1901 census the family are living at 34 Victoria Street, Newark, Jeremiah Sebright is 46 yrs a malster, he is living with his wife Eliza 50 yrs and their son Percy 11 yrs a scholar.

Military history

Private Percy Sebright enlisted at Sheffield whilst residing at New Balderton, Nottinghamshire, he served wit the 8th battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, landing on 18th July 1915 in the Balkans he was killed in action on 15th October 1916 in France, he is buried at Bois-De-Noulette Cemetery, Aix Noulette, France.
