Joseph Pearson was born in 1892 at Nottingham.

He married Annie Tudor (born 9th May 1893) they were married in 1912 at Nottingham, they lived at 35 Windmill Street, Radford, Nottingham, they had 2 children, Eliza Ann born 12th April 1913 and Joseph born 1st Febuary 1915.

Commencing 3rd December 1917 his widow was awarded a pension of 22 shillings and 11 pence a week.

His widow re married in 1919 at St Michaels Church, Radford, to Ernest Guest they had 6 children.

Military history

Private Jospeh Pearson enlisted at Beverley he served with 1st battalion East Yorkshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 9th April 1917. he is buried in Heninel-Croisilles Road Cemetery (grave ref. I.B.23).
