Family history
John Francis Orr was born in 1891 at Arnold, Nottingham, he was the son of John a farm cowman and Annie Orr and the brother of Frank James (killed in action 3/9/1916), Charlotte, George William, Daisy Evelyn and Annie Elizabeth Orr.
In 1911 they lived at Long Acre Bingham Nottinghamshire.
Military history
Private John Francis Orr enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Bulwell he served with the 8th battalion Leicestershire Regiment, he was killed in action on 2nd October 1917, he is buried at Hooge Crater Cemetery
