Charles Watson Carr was born in 1881 at Middle Rasen he was the son of Fanny Carr.

Charles married his wife Zilpha Rasen who was born on 29th December 1878 at Leeds, they were married on 14th July 1906 at Lincoln Registry Office, they lived at Metherington Terrace, Couthrent, Lincoln they had the following children, John Edward born 1903 Ada born 6th December 1906, Thomas William born 17th February 1908, Ivy Olive born 10th June 1909, Alfred Aaron born 16th Janaury 1911, Charles Henry born 30th November 1913.

In the 1911 census the family are living at Hoop Lane, Apley, Lincolnshire, Charles Watson 30 yrs is a farm labourer he is living with his wife Zilpha 31 yrs and their children, John Edward 8 yrs, Ada Zilpha 4 yrs, Thomas William 3 yrs, Ivy Olive 1 year old and Albert Aaron 2 months old.

Military history

Private Charles Watson Carr enlisted on 22nd January 1902 at Lincoln, he was 19 yrs and 9 months old, he was a labourer and was posted to the Lincolnshire Regiment. he served with the regimnet and was embodied on 5th August 1914 at Lincoln, he was killed in action on 1st November 1914, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial.
