John Bow (junior) was born in 1897 at Glasgow, he was the son of John Bow (senior) a brass moulder and Margate Bow née Keenan of Glasgow.

His father John Bow (senior) was born in 1877 at Glasgow, his mother Margaret Keenan was born in 1877 also in Glasgow, they had further child Janet Bow born 1900 at Glasgow.

His pension record card show his claiment as Mrs Margaret Bow 25 Richard Street, Glasgow.

Military history

Lance Corporal John Bow enlisted at Glasgow whilst residing at Newark, Nottinghammshire he served with the 2nd Bn Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders he was killed in action on 21st November 1917, his is buried at the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.
