Charles George Bonnett was born on 19th February 1897, he was baptised on 14th March 1897 at the Holy Trinity Church, Gainsborough , he was the son of Charles Bonnett an engine tester and Sarah Bonnett of Misterton Nottinghamshire.
His father George was born in 1867 at Springthorpe and lived at Misterton.
Military history
Private Charles George Bonnett enlisted at Doncaster, he served with the 5th battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light infantry, he died of wounds on 14th Sptember 1916 he is buried at Puchevillers British Cemetery, France
