Alfred Lambert was the son of William and Mary Ann Lambert. Their children included: Jessie May (b.1884), Frank William (b.1885), Frederick Henry (b.1890), Alfred (b.1892), Lilian [Alfred’s twin] (b.1892) and Edith Mary (b.1897). The Lambert family lived at: 1 Skirbeck Terrace, Cobden Street, Old Radford [C.1891]; 12 Forster Street, Radford [C.1901 & C.1911]; 415 Alfreton Road, Radford [n.e.p.17.5.1918]. William Lambert, a matting weaver, probably died at Nottingham in 1919, aged 63. His wife, Mary Ann, died at Nottingham in 1944, aged 87.
On 1 May 1915 Alfred Lambert married Margaret Emma Holland 9born 28th August 1893) at Radford All Souls Church. They don’t appear to have had any children.
Commencing 25th November 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week.
Lance Bombardier Alfred Lambert enlisted at Nottingham he served with the 2nd battery, 32nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. He died from his wounds, 27th April 1918 and is buried at Lapugnoy Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
