Charles Felix Lavenue Sheppard was born on 1st June 1886 in London, he was baptised on 11th July 1886 at St Marks Church, North Audley Street, London. he was the son of Albert Alfred Douglas Shepperd a fish monger and latterley a buildings caretaker and Emma Martha Shepperd née Leith of 23 North Road Builings Prk Lane, London,

His father Albert was born in 1852 at Camberwell, his mother Emma Martha Leith was born in 1856 at Rochester, they were married on 22nd September 1872 at St Marylebone, Marylebone, Westminster, they went on to have 4 children.

In he 1911 census his parents are living at 23 North Road Buildings, Park Lane, London, Albert 59 yrs a buildings caretaker is living with his wife Emma 55 yrs , they state they have been married for 38 yrs and have had 4 children.

Military history

Private Charles Felix Lavenue Sheppard enlisted on 9th September 1905 at Houndslow he was 19 yrs and 3 months old, he was a footman he was posted to the the 21st Lancers with service number 6375. He served at home until his posting to the reserves on 19th September 1910 as time expired. He was mobilised for war on 5th August 1914 he served with the Sherwood Rangers he died on 11th December 1915 at Galipolli he had served for 9 yrs and 163 days.

No trace found of him on the commonwealth wargraces commision
