George Thomas Taylor

George Thomas Taylor (b.1893) was the son of George Taylor a coal miner stallholder and Charlotte Kaley his father George Taylor was born in 1860 at Alfreton, Derbyshire, his mother Charlotte Kaley was born in 1859 at Bramcte, Nottingham, they were married in the Belper registration district Derbyshire in 1881. they had 6 children, their other children included: Annie (b.1881), Emily (b.1884) d. 9 October 1909 age 24, Lettie (b.1896), Harold (b.1899) and Doris (b.1901).

The Taylor family lived at: 53 St Paul’s Street, Radford [C.1891]; 17 Crofts Place, St Peter’s Street, Radford [C.1901]; 6 Crofts Place [C.1911 & CWGC].

In the 1911 census the family are living at 6 Crofts Place, Nottingham George Taylor 51 yrs is a coal miner stallman, he is living withs wife Charlotte 51 yrs and their children, Annie 29 yrs acotton cop winder, George 16 yrs abottle cleaner in a brewery, Lottie 14 yrs a box maker in a tobacco factory, Harold 11 yrs a scholar and Doris 9 yrs a scholar.

George Taylor, who worked as a coal miner, died on 3 September 1955 aged 95. His wife, Charlotte, died at Nottingham, aged 88, on 25 June 1948.
