Bertie Henry Taylor

Bertie Henry Taylor was born in 1897 at Nottingham, he was the son of Stephen Taylor a corporation labourer and Ann Taylor née Weightman who married at Nottingham in 1896.

His father Stphen was born in 1874 at Nottingham, his mother Ann Weightman was born in 1874 at Newark, they were married in 1896 at Nottingham, they wenton to have 10 children, sadly 4 were to die in infancy or early childhood, their children included: Bertie Henry (b.1897), Ida Eveline (b.1900), Lizzie (b.1902), Frank (b.1907), Annie Isabella (b.1908) and Claude (b.1910).

In the 1911 census the family are living a 36 Bright Street, Radford, Stephen 37 yrs is a corporation labourer, he is living with his wife Ann 37 yrs and their children, Bertie Henry 14 yrs a lace machine setter uper, Ida Eveline 10 yrs, Lizzie 8 yrs, Frank 3 yrs, Annie 2 yrs and Claude 8 months old.

The Taylor family lived at: 81 Miall Street, Radford [Radford All Souls Church christening of Bertie Henry in 1897]; 22 Guthrie Street, Radford [C.1901]; 36 Bright Street, Radford [C.1911]. Stephen Taylor, who worked for Nottingham Corporation as a labourer, died in the Basford registration district in 1940, aged 65. It is not clear when his wife, Ann, died.
