Nottingham - Nottingham Corporation Gas Depot Roll of Honour

A paper roll of honour, originally framed and glazed; the decoration includes the City's coat of arms.This memorial was formerly located in the Corporation's offices on Woodborough Road Nottingham later being moved to the HQ of East Midlands Gas Board in Lenton Nottingham. When this closed it was moved to the National Museum of Labour History in Manchester where it is currently housed. (National Museum of Labour History, Princess Street, Manchester M1 6DD). The dedication reads: 'Roll of Honour of men who served the King and Country during the Great War, 1914-1918. Corporation of Nottingham Gas Department, Distribution Centre, Woodborough Road.'
