Bole St Martin - William Arthur Chambers
Oak lectern with a large carved eagle at the top and dedicatory plaque placed at the feet of the eagle which reads ' To the glory of God and in loving memory of our eldest son William Arthur Chambers who died in France 8th November 1918 R.I.P ' The lectern was originally in St Martin's Church in the nearby village of Saundby where the Chambers family lived and William was christened and a member of the congregation. However, when the St Martin's church was made redundant the lectern was moved to St Martin's Church at Bole for safe keeping.
