Shireoaks - St Luke the Evangelist
St Luke the Evangelist, Shireoaks S81 8LP. The Calvary Cross in the churchyard was designed by CE Kempe & Co of London. It was unveiled on 16th May 1920 by Hubert Brownlow, a local resident, and dedicated by Rev. H. Cowgill, vicar of St Luke's. Dedication: 'Remember ye with thanksgiving and honour these men of Shireoaks who gave their lives for king and country in the Great War 1914- 1918 on whose souls may God have mercy.'
