East Drayton - St Peter and St Paul's Church

The memorial, which was made by Thompson & Sons, Worksop, was unveiled on 9 September 1921 by the Archdeacon of Newark, Rev. MA Noble. The dedication reads, 'To the Glory of God and in proud memory of (names) 1914-1918. Their name liveth for evermore. This tablet and the altar in this church were given by the parishioners and friends.' A tablet has been added to the bottom of the memorial, '1939-1945, Cyril Pinder'. The altar which was also given to the church in memory of those who had died has a brass plaque on which is the dedication, 'To the Glory of God and in proud memory of (names) who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918, 'Their name liveth for evermore.' This altar and the tablet in this church were given by parishioners and friends.'
