Family History

He was the son of Joseph a bricklayer and Mary Musson nee Lee of 46, Walker St., Sneinton, Nottingham . His parents were married in 1884, their marriage is recorded in the Nottingham Registration district. In the 1911 census: Joseph and Mary Ann Musson were living at 46 Walker Street with their children, Charles (24), William Henry (22), Joseph Albert (17), Claude (14), Horace (11) and Leonard Ernest (9).

Military History

Joseph enlisted in Nottingham and served with the 2nd battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. He went out to France on 19th May 1915 and was killed in action on 25th September 1915, he has no known grave , his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
