Family History

He was the son of George Henry and Emma Atkinson. (Emma's name is given as 'Emily' on the 1901 census.) Percy's birth was registered Oct/Nov/Dec 1894. At the time of the 1901 census his parents were living in the Meadows; only two children were in the household, Percy George (6) and his sister, Doris (2). From the notice of his death in the local paper it would appear that he had other brothers and sisters although the family's 1911 census record has not yet been traced. At the time of Percy's death the family was living at 57 St James' Street, Nottingham.
