Missing now reported killed December 24th [1917], Eric Harold, Second Lieutenant, Royal Engineers, of Hucknall Road, husband of Dorothy Rolleston, age 24.' The following notices are courtesy of Jim Grundy's facebook pages 'Small town Great War Hucknall 1914-1918': “LIEUT. E. H. ROLLESTON. “Second-Lieut. Eric Harold Rolleston, previously reported missing, is now reported killed. He held a commission in the Royal Engineers, and was 24 years of age. He leaves a widow, who resides in Hucknall-road, Nottingham.” [1] “ROLLESTON. – In loving memory of my dear husband, Second-Lieut. Eric Harold Rolleston, killed December 24th, 1917.
