Enlisted 1915 as Private 05115 Army Cyclist Corps then transferred to Sherwood Foresters (Medal Roll). To Western Front approximately July 1916. Wounded 11 May 1917 and died of wounds two days later. Buried Marteville Communal Cemetery, Attilly (grave ref A.23). Awarded 1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
