Military History

Private George Barber enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 17th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He was killed in action on 29th June 1916 whilst in the line near Givenchy, France. He is buried at Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-lAvoue, France. Plot 3, Row H, Grave 13.
